Hey Faithful Readers,
I really really really really really really like you
And I want you, do you want me, do you want me too?
Oh did I say too much?
I’m so in my head
When we’re outta touch

~~flashback~~
I spent some time thinking about Josh and by the end of the night, I had came to a conclusion. I dialed Josh’s number and he picked up almost immediately. “Hello?” is all I heard before I said anything more.
“Hello Josh, please don’t say anything more. I have to speak honestly and freely with you right now.” I said taking a deep breath. As I took the breath, I was gaining the courage to finally speak my mind. “Look, I’ve never forgotten what you and I used to be. I never forgotten our relationship. Honestly, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. But Josh, I like you. I really like you. And, I know you’re with Skye, which I don’t like so much. But, I can live and deal with it. And, it’s time to shut the door on us. So, goodbye Josh. I’ll just see you around.” I said trying to prevent tears falling from my eyes. Before he could honestly respond, I hung up the phone. I laid down on my bed and collapsed under the covers still crying.
After my brief time alone that I spent crying, Nadia called me down to dinner. I went downstairs and smelled some authentic Mexican cuisine aroma from the kitchen. I didn’t eat much because I was too busy thinking about what I said to Josh. “Can I be excused? I have to get ready for my hip-hop class tomorrow.” I asked my mother and father politely. After they had said yes, I went upstairs and looked for some comfortable clothing for the class tomorrow. I finally settled on a black and white flannel, black tank top, and black leggings. The goal for the class was to be as comfortable as possible and confident.

Body Alive Dance Studio
Mid-Level Hip Hop Class
1:30 pm
The following morning was pretty much like every other morning, I woke before everyone and went to my private studio for some dance rehearsal alone time. Once everyone began to stir, I would go back into the house and start the morning off in the kitchen. I made myself a typical Strawberry Protein smoothie before grabbing a can of oats and making some oatmeal with acai and other berries. I sat down at the table eat my breakfast and went to shower to get ready for the rest of the day.
“1,2,3,4. 1,2,3,4. Those are the counts. Don’t forget them.” Ms. Kathryn Lane told the class. “Let’s go again.” The music began to play through the radio and I took my place at the head. I kept counting and moving, making sure my movements were both a little tight and a little loose. “Alright, that’s enough for the day. See you tomorrow!” Ms. Kathryn said finally satisfied with the job the class was doing.
I left the room and went in search for Colton. I found him practicing in one of the adjacent studios to where my class was being held. I watched him finish up before I said anything because I didn’t want to distract him. When he finished, I started to clap and fully walk into the room. “Hey Alicia.” He said smiling at me and walking towards me. “Hey.” I said smiling in return. “What was that?” I asked curiously. “Oh, just something for my class.” Colton said reaching for my hand. “Teach me it? Or at least some?” I asked him before setting down my bag. “Absolutely.”
He taught me the dance and I was grateful for the distraction from Josh. But, I was also thankful for Colton period. I felt myself developing some possibly deep feelings for him and that caused some excitement on my part. “Yes, girl!” Colton shouted when I finished the extremely difficult Hip-Hop routine. I smiled at him and I began to laugh some by the way he had said it. He walked towards me to close the gap between us and pulled me into a hug. Still staying close, “I have something to tell you.” He said to me. “What?” I asked wanting to know, but also scared because what if he didn’t or never felt the same way. “I really like you.” That’s when I knew I liked him, too. “I like you, too.” I responded.
He leaned down and kissed me. And, in that moment, I loved it. We parted when we heard a clang of the door as if someone had opened it and turned around. Confused, I looked behind me and through the window, I saw that it was Josh.
